Nutrition education
Taste, smell, try and discover: in our workshops, children experience food with all their senses.
The activities are aimed at Years 1 to 6 and take place either at the school itself or in the Abraxas garden.
Our partner schools can select and book the workshop directly online.
Workshop 3:
Scent Detectives – a guided tour of our herb garden
This workshop takes place in our Abraxas garden in Tegel. There, the children will explore different herbs using all their senses and learn what they are used for and how to season food with them. They’ll smell, taste and feel the herbs.
To finish off, it’s time to get creative: empty milk cartons from our kitchens are turned into little plant pots. Each child plants their own upcycled pot with herbs and takes it home.
