Nutrition education
Taste, smell, try and discover: in our workshops, children experience food with all their senses.
The activities are aimed at Years 1 to 6 and take place either at the school itself or in the Abraxas garden.
Our partner schools can select and book the workshop directly online.
Workshop 4:
What does a rainbow taste like?
What types of fruit and vegetables do we know? When are they in season, and how do they differ in colour, smell and taste? The children will discover the variety of fruit and vegetables using all their senses and learn what grows and is harvested in each season. Together, we will create a seasonal fruit and vegetable poster.
At school
Approx. 3 school lessons
All materials, as well as a variety of fruit and vegetables to explore and taste
The children learn about the variety of fruit and vegetables and develop a better understanding of which varieties are in season at which time of year. They learn why seasonal food is a good choice and sharpen their awareness of different colours, smells and tastes.
